Columbia Christian Fellowship is an independent,
evangelical and non-denominational body of believers
committed to building for God's glory. The church is
administered by a pastor-elders system of church policy.
Our main purpose for existence is to lay
the foundation of salvation in the lives of people,
to build them up in the faith and to prepare them to
serve the Lord consistently and effectively.
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired,
the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally
existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord
Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless
life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning
death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection,
in His ascension to the right hand of the Father,
and in His personal return to power and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of
lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit
is absolutely essential.
- We believe in the present ministry
of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian
is enabled to live a godly, victorious life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both
the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the
resurrection of damnation.
- We believe in the spiritual
unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Our first objective is
the edification of the body of believers. We are dedicated
to providing an atmosphere of collective worship for
people of all races, cultures, and social class, providing
a consistent presentation of sound teaching of the
scriptures and Christian living; and providing a closely-knit
fellowship of believers for mutual encouragement,
challenge and accountability (Hebrews 10:24-25). The
four components of edification are outlined in Acts
2:42: teaching, fellowship, the Lord's Supper, and
prayer.
- Our second objective is the equipping
of believers. We are dedicated to training believers
to identify and exercise their spiritual gifts to
do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-15), building
on the premise of the Holy Spirit's sovereign work
in distributing gifts to every believer for the common
good of the church ( I Corinthians 12:7). We believe
all members must be given the opportunity to exercise
their gifts in the public or private ministry of the
church.
- Our third objective is evangelism.
We are dedicated to providing an evangelistic atmosphere
by biblical teaching, soul-winning opportunities and
prayerful and financial support of those involved
in communicating the gospel at home and abroad. Our
mission is the Great Commission. (Matthew 28: 19-20)
- To mobilize our people...
- To win others in their world
to Christ and...
- To incorporate them into
the fellowship of the church.
